Chinese Sky & Thai Wish Lanterns

A Sky Lantern, sometimes called a Chinese or Thai Lantern, is a lightweight paper balloon that rises into the air when a small flame is lit at its base. It is similar to the traditional paper lanterns commonly linked to several East Asian cultures.
For hundreds of years, Sky Lanterns have been created and released during festivals, celebrations and cultural events across parts of Asia. On occasion, Sky Lanterns have also been mistaken for unidentified flying objects (UFO's).
